Also, I wouldn't be so down on yourself! Your entry is one of my favorites so far because of the pants design, actually!! Everyone starts somewhere, and believe me when I say I used to be... *pretty* terrible. A tip that I will recommend, if you wanna get better, is to change the hue (position on the color wheel) of your shading. What I do is move it a little clockwise/counterclockwise each time the shadow gets darker. It does a lot!! Keep going and practicing!
