The Phase 1 clone armour, created in 22 BBY as body armour for clones, used by the republic to fight in the war against the Seperatists. This type of armour was used throughout most of the Clone Wars until the introduction of the Phase 2 clone armour near the ending of the war. The armour was equipped to withstand ricocheted blaster fire and in extreme cases, a detonation of a grenade. Many also came with life support systems, enabling the wearer to survive in vacuum for a limited amount of time.
