I know, right? I personally think the banshee is gorgeous in a sad and eerie kind of way, like she's the victim of a horrible, depressing fate that no one can change or alter. The nixies and mermaids are so pretty -o-

How about trying to do a mythology series? Trolls, harpies, Medusa, the Minotaur, Cyclops, Nixies...just use creatures and monsters from mythologies around the world! I'd also suggest taking a peek in Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to The Fantastical World Around You ;)
