I think you could get farther with this if you looked up a bit about shading, i'm not trying to be mean or anything of the sort but maybe you could look up some shading tips for minecraft characters and they'll get way better! I myself had the same things happen to me when I tried making a few skins but I looked up a few videos and looks at other peoples skins as reference and got it fixed. Good Job and keep it up <3
