I've been thinking about this psalm a lot this past week, and it was actually spoken about in church today. We also sang a new hymn inspired by the psalm, called "Why Drown in Hopelessness?" and it has the same tune as" Arise My Soul Arise," which is one of my favorite hymns! Here are the first and last stanzas:

As deer desire cool springs, O living God, I long
For You to intervene; Turn sorrow into song.
My soul, why drown in hopelessness? Trust in your Savior's promises.
Soon you will praise His faithfulness.

My soul, heed Christ's command: "Take heart within the strife.
Believe in Me-- I am The way, the truth, the life.
Though tribulations will increase, So will my comfort, joy, and peace,
Until I make all trials cease."
