After that day. People were shocked and confused on why Eggman died, how and if someone did it, who did it? Two years later, Sonic died, but how? That’s the question everyone wants to know. After Eggman died, his long lost son that was forgotten in time came in and took his place.

His name was Gregory Robotnik. He was upset that his father was dead. So he isolated himself in that base for years until Sonic died.
As for Metal Sonic, he wasn’t seen again for a very long time after that. Project 11? Well, he stole a bunch of equipment from Eggman and went into a cave and started trying to find a way to get to other universes.

Why? He wanted to kill Subject V. And if anyone tried stopping him, well.. They would be dead on the spot. Project 11 would change his name to Budget figuring he lived in a low budget place and he was in a low-budget spot himself.

No one would realize Budget existed or killed Eggman in any way because they simply didn’t know he existed. Budget had hatred for everything around him. He wouldn’t hurt random flickies because he felt like it, he wasn’t that hateful or insane. He would just hurt the people in his way.
