YIPPEE!!! Ok, that's the end of part or chapter 18!!!!! Any suggestions to make it better? Or ideas for
future scenes? :D
As blood dripped from the gash above and below her left eye, Fangclaw knew she was beaten.
Fangclaw lay on her back, pinned by the black tiger, his red eyes glaring at her.
Without a word, he slashed his saber fangs along her face, although not hard enough to seriously harm her.
With that, she began galloping along the stream, away from Darion and the Venom Paw territory.
She glanced over her shoulder, and was surprised to see Darion galloping after her, and gaining easily.
He loped alongside her a moment before lunging into the air, and tackling her to the ground.
"Hurry up," Darion growled at her.
Fangclaw ambled away from the stream. "I'm feeling much better now. in fact," she said as she picked up her pace, "I could almost run!"
"You can go. You don't need to watch me like a cub," Fangclaw said sarcastically.
Darion stared at her with hard, red eyes. "As if! You know I cannot leave you, or else Mother would have unending wrath for me."
Fangclaw raised her eyebrows as well as a tiger can, and almost smirked. "So, other than that stumbling block, you wouldn't mind if I ran off?"
Fangclaw managed to get up and stagger to the edge of the stream, and lapped at the water like she was starved for it.
Instantly, strength began returning to her, and she felt dizzy no longer.
He dragged her the hundred yards to the a small, rushing stream, and dropped her down beside it.
"There! No matter what Mother says, I detest carrying you about like a cub!" he growled, and sat on his haunches.
Darion ducked his head and ambled over to Fangclaw, who had not touched the rat he had dropped in front of her.
The black saber-toothed tiger gripped the slack of hide on her neck in his mouth, and dragged her at a trot, away from the cave entrance.
"Darion!" The witch hissed. "Do not tempt my anger! Do as I say, and call me Sapara, not 'Mother', in the presence of others!"
