For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because seeing they see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand."

This passage comes right after Jesus' parable of the soils/sower. We studied it in church today and I think it's really neat how Jesus used parables as a way to find people who were seeking truth, and send away those who did not.
The point of these verses is to show us that we don't have to understand every bit of God's Word, we just have to want to understand and ask for God's help.
