Aw, I love Sophie and Howl but I looked up the second one and it sounds like a really cool concept anyway!

Very true, I was surprised how different they were from each other, but also I think reading the book enhanced the movie because it cleared up some things that the movie didn't really go into. I also haven't read the sequels, I hope to check them out sometime though :D

I read it and I think it's really cool! To me, the book and movie feel like two stories based on the same concept. They have their similarities, but overall, they're very different! I'd rank them pretty equally tbh.
I'm really looking forward to reading the sequel books! I haven't been able to get ahold of them yet.
