[ story ]

It was subtle at first, an unsettling roll in my chest, like waves that wouldn't calm down. Slowly, everything started slipping from me, my routines and plans dissolving, like sand in the water. Everything piled up in a way that felt heavier every minute. It's like I'm adrift, with nothing solid to cling to. I feel like I'm being pulled under, I feel like I'm seasick.

This girl is essentially being overwhelmed, with no way of getting back on top of things, like a person being stranded in waters without knowing how to swim.
