The Mauthian Chieftains are the most powerful of the Mauthians. Mauthian Chiefs are responsible for leading the tribe in combat and in general and are often given most of the spoils of battle. The Chieftains are the strongest warriors of the tribe, and often use the best equipment the tribe in question has access to, such as iron armor, swords, shields, and other weapons. The Chieftan can be overruled by a different member of the tribe challenging him to a duel. If the chieftain is slain by the challenger, the challenger will then become the chieftain. If the challenger loses and is not slain, he will become the village warrior, and will be given a heavy suit of armor and sent on high risk fights against the tribes' enemies. He will do this until he is slain or recovers a amount of wealth which he will give to the village, to earn his place back into the tribe. The Chieftain of the tribe will be in control of the most dangerous dinosaur in the tribes control, often being a T-Rex or some similar creature.
