The Mauthian People is a race of humanoids residing in the surrounding areas of the New World. Their language appears to be a much older form of the ancient Yahranian Language, suggesting their heritage. Their genetic makeup seems to imply a mix of ancient Yahran and Primen DNA, though USAR scientists cannot yet decide if this is true or not. Where these people came from or how long they have been in the New World is unknown, but it is known that they were probably in the New World before the Ancient Argentans began their empire. They are still in a low state of technology, mostly using stone tools and bows and arrows for hunting. They generally live mostly in small settlements and villages, though major cities are suspected to be present on the outer frontier of the known New World. The Argenta have been warring with the Mauthians for a long time, ever since they began settling the New World outside of the Portal, though their conflicts are most often short-lived due to the high technological status of the Argentan Empire. Now the Argenta and Mauthians get along mostly peacefully, effectively avoiding each other whenever possible.
