“Jason?” Kara said, eyeing her friend up and down to make sure it was him.
“Kara why are you on the floor?”
“It’s nothing,” she said, picking herself up and brushing herself off. “How have you been?”
“I’ve been doing good, Tasha invited me.”
“Tasha invited you?”
“Yeah, she said she wanted me to help her with something? Not sure what,” Jason said, stepping into the house and closing the door behind him.
“Jason, do not help her whatever you do.”
“Why not?” he asked.
“I had a nightmare. She burned the forest and planned to burn the whole world down, betraying Ash and Aaron else in the process,” Kara began. “I don’t want that to happen. I want peace, and she doesn’t.”
“How do you know that’s what she wants?”
“She pulled me aside and told me she wanted to betray them. There’s no peace in that,” Kara explained, hoping Jason would think twice about helping Tasha.
“Jason!” a familiar voice said in it’s usual bubbly tone. It was Tasha. Kara hadn’t even noticed the door open.
“Hey Tasha,” he said, turning around to face her. “How have you been?”
“Great!” she said. “Oh hey Kara! I didn’t see you.”
“Hey Tasha.” Kara’s uneasy feeling came back, and worse than ever.
