Kara shifted her weight from foot to foot, Tasha had been making her a bit uneasy as of recently, the whole fire thing, the flint and steel she saw in her overall pocket, everything just made her stand a little bit more on-edge. Tasha looked Kara dead in the eyes. “So, what are you thinking?” she asked, “You’re mind’s wandering, I can tell.”
“I’m just a little.. nervous,” Kara said, “that’s all.”
“It’s a little more than that, am I making you uncomfortable?”
“No, you never would-”
“Just tell me then! I know something’s up-“
“It’s nothing! Just leave me alone!” Kara turned and ran, not knowing if Tasha was chasing her.
She ran to the house, pushed her way through the door with all her might and fell from pushing through so hard. She turned on her other side, and the door swung open, she thought it might be Tasha, standing over her with the red gleam she had the nightmare of and a diamond sword she had somehow, but it wasn’t, it was her other friend, Jason.
