Uggghhh. I swear, Kelly always tells me when it’s my bedtime. Should I tell her I think I’m old enough? Nah. I am too scared to. It makes me nervous.
“SURPRISE!” I saw 10 people shout with a grin.
I heard many giggles from the other 17 kids.
“Hi Lucas! Remember me? Your friend from first grade?” shouted Michael through the crowd of people.
“Hello! I’m your neighbor if you didn’t know Lucas!” said Elizabeth.
“Nice to meet you, Lucas! I'm your grandpa!” said Jackson. "I haven't seen you since you were 1 and a half years old!
“What time is it?” I replied while yawning.
I looked at the clock in my room. I thought it was wrong. It said it was 10:30 in the morning! How did I sleep in so much? I checked my phone. The clock was definitely right. How could I miss so much of Christmas! I was still sleepy from staying up so late, so I stayed all warm and cozy in my aqua bunk bed.
“I'm going to sleep again, Mother Kelly!”
“Don’t you want to open your presents my little Lucas?” She sounded so astounded that I still wanted to sleep.
