But she didn’t notice. She was too busy helping other leaves stay on their branches. He was soon to be dead, and she never even noticed his last words that he had told her. All he could do now, was hope. Hope that she had and still does, love him back. He watched Fabbri helping the other leaves stay in place, and felt a sudden sadness. Why hadn’t she helped me? I thought we were friends. Maybe she didn’t love me. No! It must have been a mistake. He was drifting slowly backwards into the breeze, and looked up, seeing the clouds were starting to drizzle bits of water. He sighed, and fell behind a maple tree of red and yellow. He wondered if she had heard his last words, as he fell to the forest floor.

He froze. He felt a light breeze that abruptly turned into a strong wind, blowing several leaves off the tree. His stem felt stretched. He felt a deep pain injuring his stem as he heard other leaves crying, screaming, and flying off into the distance in the current of wind. He tugged himself to the branch as hard as he could. Apparently, it was sooner than he thought till falling time. No! I have to tell Fabbri! Before I fly away! Before she flies away! BEFORE I DIE! He mustered up as much courage as he possibly could, and yelled as he was drifting away in the wind, “I love you Fabbri!”

“FABBRI!” He called out for her. It came out more of a yell, or a scream, than what he wanted. She turned quickly, and stared at him, with a happy, wonderful look, which made Charlie feel very warm inside. “YES?” She yelled back sillily. He grinned, but quickly stopped, looking down in shame. WHY DO I FEEL THE WAY I FEEL?! “Fabbri, I-”

Well now what. He tried, but he just couldn’t tell her! How could he? What would he say exactly? Oh hey, I just wanted to say, before we ALL DIE, I love you. Or, Hi Fabbri! I’ve over time, developed complicated and strong feelings of love for you, and I’d like to spend the rest of my life time with you, and yeah, I’m assuming you feel this way too. They were both stupid. He had no idea what to say, but one day he decided to just tell her, and whatever happened, happened. His life was almost over anyway. If she said no, he’d only be hurt by it for a day, or even a few hours. He still hoped she’d agree with him, and love him back in the way he felt, though.
