Well now what. He tried, but he just couldn’t tell her! How could he? What would he say exactly? Oh hey, I just wanted to say, before we ALL DIE, I love you. Or, Hi Fabbri! I’ve over time, developed complicated and strong feelings of love for you, and I’d like to spend the rest of my life time with you, and yeah, I’m assuming you feel this way too.
“Fabbri.” He said softly. “I- it’s almost falling time, and I wanted to just- say that I appreciate how much you make me feel happy, and how much you welcome me into your life. Your the only one that I feel like I can. . . Trust, really.”
Over time Charlie, developed feelings for her. He felt that he might truly love her, but he noticed it was almost falling time. (The few days when the leaves on the tree would slowly fall off, onto the ground) Could he tell her in time? Before it was to late? He must! Charlie called to her in the morning, after all the greetings and hellos.
Fabbri soon turned out to be a great friend. How could he not have found her earlier? She was such an amazing, sweet leaf, and he loved the way she turned around to call out, “Good morning!” every day. About a month or so later, they were the closest friends. No one could stop them. Charlie soon discovered her interests, and found them truly a wonderful experience to learn, and it was even greater, because Fabbri was talking to him. She could be talking to anyone else, but she wanted to tell Charlie about all she had learned and discovered of the stars. He also found out that every night, Fabbri looks up to the stars, and talks to them, and spots planets, or constellations which Charlie could never find just by glancing up. She loved the stars, and he loved her.
“Charlie?” Someone asked him again. He jumped. “Oh! Why hello! What might your name be?” He asked. “Fabbri.” “Well, good morning to you too!” He told her.
He felt a warm feeling that was so bright he thought that even if he was three inches from the sun he’d feel even more warmth. Of course though, it wasn’t possible to be that close to the sun. He’d burn. But, he liked it here, On his branch. He would never even dream of being anywhere else. And all the other leaves loved him, and felt jealous, apparently, of his beautiful color, size, and in all, the amazing glow of shimmering happiness he gave.
The morning came, and Charlie turned around again to stretch in the sun. He pulled his tips as far as he could force without hurting, and then let go of the breath that was left in him that he hadn’t noticed. He saw the same squirrel, sitting there, In the same spot as yesterday, still eyeing him creepily. He made a groan at the animal, and it ran off instantly. “Charlie!” He heard someone call. “Good morning Charlie!”
