"The final obstacle to tackle before reaching the village is circling an enormous lava lake. It was while walking along the shore of such that I almost met quite the fiery and premature end to my journey."

"While strolling along, I heard a melody so entrancing I found myself unable to think clearly, and I began heading towards the lava lake where it originated from. Thankfully the being I have illustrated here, who belongs to a sentient nameless race, noticed in time and cut short their singing before I wandered too close. Since they don't name themselves, I have taken the liberty of calling them 'Calderachorus', and I have named the being who nearly killed me 'Simmersong'. While not intentionally hostile, their enchanting singing voices pose a serious threat to unprepared travellers. Much like the Heatshimmers, they feed on plants and mineral deposits, but cannot venture far from lava lakes without cooling down."
