My entry in KruxQuip's skin contest, using the colours on their profile picture at the time of uploading this skin. Will outline the production process in the comments, but this is a also a storyline skin as well.

"Another surprising entity rarely seen around the edges of lava lakes, the Heatshimmer covers itself in flecks of crying obsidian and ignites the seeping liquid with the intense heat produced by an internal core, similar to the process used by the Skinscorcher. The flames this produces emit a dazzling spectrum of pink, purple, rose and azure hues that add an eye catching splash of colour to an otherwise quite gloomy environment."

"I first encountered one of these upon exiting the basalt delta, when my footing slipped and I tumbled down a short ledge before landing next to one. Thankfully, with as dazzling a defence as theirs, they aren't particularly concerned by the presence of other entities, and are content to mind their business feeding on mushrooms and mineral deposits. I can only assume these materials are vital to sustaining their internal temperature. I haven't yet seen one without it's protective coating or flames, but I doubt one would last long here."
