So in this lesson, im going to be teaching about hueshifting vs. the lighten / darken tools.
On the left side of the skin, I am using a certain technique called hueshifting. On the right side of the skin, I am only using the lighten / darken tools.
Hueshifting becomes really easy to understand after doing it a few times when you get the hang of it. Hueshifting also makes your skins look so much better and more lively.
Here are a few tips on how you do hueshifting: 1) If you want to make your color darker, move your picker to the LEFT of the color wheel and move just a little bit downwards in the color square.
2) If you want to make your color lighter, move your picker to the RIGHT of the color wheel, and move it just a little bit upwards in the color square
the lighten / darken tools are good tools to use, especially as a beginner, but over time you’ll probably want to start using more hueshifting in your skins. I’m not saying that you need to do hueshifting, as it’s totally anyone’s decision whether they want to or not, but I highly recommend this technique as skins look so much better with it.
