"After resting for an hour or so after finally escaping the flaming archer from earlier today, it wasn't long after resuming my travels that I was greeted by a similar but much more determined foe."

"This entity lies buried beneath the mounds of ash and dust in the deltas, but launches out of the ground with explosive speed when an unfortunate traveller wanders too close. After a few minutes, it's limbs and face start to become molten hot, and it unfurls 2 large blades that are normally resting in front of each arm. The entity will then attempt to dash into, jump on or confuse it's victim with an entrancing display of acrobatic kicking and cutting manoeuvres. Their ferocity is hard to match, and I was only able to fend the being off by throwing a bucket of water onto it which quickly cooled it's limbs. In this brittle, rapidly cooled state, they become vulnerable and return to their pile of ash."

"I cannot help but notice a sharp resemblance to the archer entity I encountered earlier today. However, for all their visual similarities, this being seemed far more animalistic and less intelligent, lacking the hand crafted tools and sophisticated armour. Puzzling indeed."
