disclaimer: oh yay some skindex opinions. please don't report since I'm allowed to have my own opinion on things. if you don't like it, just leave. I'm not here to start arguments with anyone.
let me say what I want to say.
since october has started, people have been getting excited about skintober. what's making me mad (like really really mad) is that people are saying "happy skintober" to each other. where I've seen this, they're acting like it's a greeting skinners use, and not an event that a well-known skinner created.
this really upsets me because skintober has been around for quite a few years and newer skinners are throwing it around in a rude way.
it's an event. you take part in it. you make skins for each day of october. it's for fall skins and not for just greeting people.
if you're going to say "happy skintober" to someone, actually use it in the context of the event. otherwise, just say "happy fall", "happy october" or "happy halloween".
this really just shows how little newer skinners care about the skinning community and are looking for any choice to be trendy and say "happy skintober!" as a popular skindex greeting (it's not)

Thanks for bringing more awareness to this. (And about the 'happy Skintober' thing, that's never really bothered me but I also didn't know that people did this. I understand your point completely and lowkey agree though. But I don't think the fault lies in the people that say it, but again, in the people that don't credit properly)
hope you're doing better! <3
Happy Halloween
:D make it a good one
