-The previously unconscious woman was on her feet, her torn black cloak now sparkling with amethyst crystals. Her eyes, which were the same color, glowed with a ferocious light. Xiridin recognized her immediately, and backed away. "No- wait. This isn't right! You- Netharius would-"
The power of the goddess of magic radiated from her, who was indeed Netharius, the queen of the entire region.
"I would what?" she asked. " Just because godly magic is SUPPOSED to be illegal, it does not mean I can just stop being the daughter of Starlight."
She blasted the Oruchoa with a bolt of lightning. "Back to the otherworld with you." she hissed.
It vanished.
Xiridin took a long look at Netharuis. "My father won't be happy to know that we have been lead by the daughter of a GODDESS." He growled.-
"Good luck convincing him them." She replied. Her and her family vanished as well, leaving the prince alone.

From then on, word got out. Apparently the Firebane Illness had been eating away at Netharius's ability to control her magic as well as destroying her life force. No-one knew if she was still alive.
Panic spread. Prayers were uttered to the divine forces from above, but not in reverence. These were scared prayers, hoping that the gods would not turn on them. For if their queen could be so easily turned, no one was safe.
-been able to find a cure. You MUST help us."
The prince took a step back. He recognized this illness, which had spread from the capital ever since the death of Dawn, one of the twin gods of time. It was slowly creeping outward, and once someone had come in contact with it, they were guaranteed not to survive.
"Good sir, I can't- Firebane is imposs-"
His words were cut off by a guttural scream, as a demonic creature leaped in front of them.
With the front talons of a falcon, body and hind legs of a wolf, and the head of a lion, the Oruchoa, one of the most deadly beasts, snarled at them, seething with hatred.
In a second's time, the beast was upon the two children, about to have its next meal, when a flash of light, as bright as amethyst, caused it to yelp and back away.

In the darkness of midnight, four shadows of people fled for their lives.
With only the moon to guide them, they stumbled and ran across the rough path that wove through the woods of Kathiris, searching for anyone who could help them.
They had been at this for five hours, and time was running thin.
Finally, the woods split in front of the group and they were in the safety of a garden.
Someone was there.
Xiridin, the Prince of Kathiris, turned to the wary group, wide-eyed. "Wh-who are you?! State your names!"
The tallest of the group rose to his feet. "That does not matter now, boy. We come asking for help."
He gestured to the smallest two, a young boy and an older girl, holding the quaking body of a woman, likely their mother.
"She seems to be on the verge of death, and no-one has-
