only made the trips to try and take Atem's hand in marriage, only to fail every time. The Prince just didn't seem interested in marrying someone.

''Wait. Powerful noble family means a lot of goods, right?'' Karmi blinked. Anat snorted.

''Yes, that's what he's trying to tell us, Karmi,'' she replied, getting a glare from her partner.

''Just because you're the so-called 'Thief of Egypt' isn't stopping me from murdering you,'' Karmi grumbled. Anat rolled her eyes.

again, Ker,'' Anat bowed slightly. The man bowed in return, and the two thieves exited the dilapidated home to enter the streets of Khemet once again.

It didn't take long for the two to find temporary housing, and there they discussed their plans for the next morning: they would go on one of their biggest runs yet, stealing from the Masaki family.

''I know you will, I was hoping you would warn others if you meet them. Anyways, the second thing is that a powerful noble family is coming to our land. Have you heard of the Masaki family?''

''They're only one of the most influential lords in Rome - and one of the snottiest. What about them?'' Karmi raised her eyebrow. Ker chuckled lightly.

Thief of Egypt summed up for the dealer. Ker nodded, and took out a bag of coins, about half the amount of Atem's.

''This should be all of those items. About 27 coins,'' Ker said.

''Enough for a day's meal and a half,'' Karmi nodded slowly. Ker smiled slightly.

''Ladies, two bits of advice for you,'' he offered as the girls turned to leave, their attention back on him. ''The first is that I've been seeing more guards in the past week or so, so be careful.''

''We will,'' Anat smiled softly,

''I must say, the necklace is in fantastic condition. Pray tell, where, or rather, whom did you swipe it from?'' Ker asked, still looking at the necklace. Karmi grinned.

''Some heartbroken noble tried to get Mr. Hottie Prince's hand again - and failed, again. Sooo in her misery, I relieved her of her necklace,'' Karmi detailed. Anat sighed, lightly facepalming.

The bracelets were always silver - the only gold one Anat knew of was Atem's - and the necklace has a cloth chain, with a small emerald anchored by silver clasps.

''Hey Karmi, can we keep this?'' Anat asked, pointing to the new ring. Every once in a while, one of them would keep a piece of jewelry to give to another thief so they could

''Hey Ker, we got some more stuff for you,'' Karmi greeted the man, grinning. The man looked up and smiled.

''The Thief of Egypt and the Shadow Thief. To what do I owe you two ladies the pleasure?'' he greeted with a small bow. Anat chuckled, before Karmi dumped out
