Worried about what was to come, and dreamt about the friendships that could bloom from those hardships. The night was still and quiet. The only sound being that of the Hoshis soft snoring. Ren closed her eyes, and easily drifted to sleep.

-END CHAPTER 2-
Ren thanked her with a slight nod, *Thank you.* she whispered barely loud enough to hear. Ren munched on the muffin happily. After eating, she felt very drowsy. Judging by the others yawning, they were probably pretty tired too. After all, they had spent the entire day unpacking, and adjusting to their new life. They took turns using the washroom, Ren going last. As she lay in bed that night, she worried, and dreamed.
Harumi did just as Ren had been doing: she nodded. *So what do you want to do now?* Harumi asked. Her voice was much quieter than Hoshis, and Ren already liked Harumi more. *I need a nap.* Ren asnwered. It had already been a long day with so many things to unpack. Before anyone could say anything else, Hoshi exploded through the door, *Im back!* she cried, paper bag in one hand. In the other she held an iced tea, *Here ya go, hon.* she said, handing Ren the muffin.
*Ok, Im going to the cafe in the lobby. Does anyone want something?* Hoshi said, grabbing her wallet and phone. *A poppy seed muffin please.* Ren finally answered. Poppy seed was her favorite. Hoshi nodded, and rushed out the door in a flurry. *She finally left.* Ren thought, slumping a bit on her bed. She liked Hoshi, but Ren thought she was just too loud. *Is your sister always that... bold?* Ren asked, hoping Harumi wasnt as daring as her sister had been.
It wasnt that Ren disliked music: it just depended on what type of music. Assuming Hoshi liked pop, Ren decided to decline. *Ok... Thats a no, then.* Hoshi said, trailing off. The girls proceeded to unpack as nighttime slowly descended. The sky was turning a brilliant pink-orange, and the moon rose high into the air. Ren felt a pang if hunger touch her stomach. *Is anyone hungry?* Hoshi asked. *Ill buy supper?* she offered. Still, nobody answered.
Then, Hoshi grasped the curtains, and pulled them aside. *Wow.*she sputtered. The view was of the school parking lot, nothing that magnificent. The trees were turning a crisp orange-brown, and the leaves, quickly but gently falling to the ground, carpeting the lot with a path of color. Hoshi grabbed her phone, *Its so quiet in here!* she exclaimed, *How about music?* she asked. Ren shook her head no, while Harumi wore a blank expression.
They stood in silence before Hoshi burst, *And Im Hoshi!* she cried into the silence. Harumi smiled awkwardly, and looked embarrassed. Breaking the silence once again, Hoshi started talking, *Its so nice to finally be out of the house! Parents? Am I right?* Ren, not knowing what to say, simply nodded a bit, and smiled. *This girl is certainly the bold type.* she thought, continuing to unpack. The three unpacked in the quietness of the dorm.
She said gesturing towards the other white haired girl. Harumi smiled a bit, and waved with her bag. She started toward the bed in the middle of the room, and her sister followed behind, and whispered something. *I hope its not about me.* Ren thought, slightly nervous. Harumi turned to face Ren, *Hi. As my sister already said, I am Harumi.* Ren nodded, *My name is Ren. Pleasure to meet you both.* she said in her sweetest voice, hopefully making a good impression.
*My names Hoshi!* the first white haired girl exclaimed. Ren smiled a bit, *Im Ren.* Hoshie started a conversation right away, *How has your day been so far? Pretty crazy, huh?* she would ask. Ren still felt a bit unsure about Hoshis personality, but she really did want to be friends with everyone she met. She gave a small nod, hoping that she wasnt being rude. Suddenly, Hoshi jumped up, *Oh!* she exclaimed. *How rude of me! This is my sister, Harumi.*
As the door opened, a girl burst through. She had long white hair, and wore a yellow star hairpin and a bright smile. *Hello, new roommate!* she cried, arms spread wide. Outside the door, Ren spotted another white haired girl, just peering through, as if she had no intention of entering the dorm. Ren felt a bit uneasy after the first girl had practically leaped through the door. She had expected her roommates to be quieter and less loud.
